We would like to announce some very special news here at East Anglian Sea School this week. Bill Smith (Better known as 'Dad' to Peter & 'Grandad' to Amelia!) started the sea school in 1973 and then having handed the reins over to Peter he started up East Anglian Sailing Trust (EAST), a charity organisation providing children and adults with disabilities, regular opportunities to access and enjoy sailing activities.

We are so proud to announce that Bill has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for his services to sailors with disabilities. This has been such an incredible achievement & unsurprisingly Bill is in shock himself. Of course, we all know he totally deserves this for all his copious amounts of time and effort he has put in to setting up the sailing trust & from all the team at EASS we want to send him the greatest of congratulations.

If you would like to send Bill a message to congratulate him on this amazing achievement you can send this across to sales@eastanglianseaschool.com and we will be sure to pass any messages on to him.

Well done Bill, Dad & Grandad MBE!
