Take an active part in the sailing of one of our yachts anti-clockwise around the UK, exploring the coastal waters, rivers and estuaries of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The trip provides extended sailing opportunities and experiences and logs approximately 1500 miles with various stopping places, taking place over 6 weeks.

The are 6 legs, you can book on legs individually or you can complete the whole circumnavigation of the UK. The trips can be used to do any level of practical sailing course or to gain experience and build up mileage towards a higher qualification. It also gives you the opportunity to sail in waters that you wouldn't ordinarily be able to.

All change-over stops have been selected so that they are not too far from an airport or railway station for ease of transport. There may be an opportunity for car hire share if you speak to our office nearer the time.

Leg 1 - Levington to Inverness

Join this exciting cruise at Levington on the Friday evening and expect to depart for a long leg up to Inverness. You will arrive in Inverness by the following Friday. This is the perfect opportunity to help build your miles and work towards the Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore.

Leg 2 - Inverness to Oban 

After re-victualling the boat you will depart Inverness, travelling through the Caledonian Canal, into Loch Ness - let us know if you see the Loch Ness Monster! Then through Loch Linnhe to Fort William, stopping at various ports along the way.

Leg 3 - Oban to Whitehaven

From Oban, we sail southwards, enjoying the west coast of Scotland, Northern Ireland and probably the Isle fo Man, before heading down to Whitehaven, West Cumbria.

Leg 4 - Whitehaven to Milford Haven

Departing Whitehaven, it is likely that you will travel to the Isle of Man then south to Anglesey and onto South Wales and Milford Sound.

Leg 5 - Milford Haven to Plymouth 

You will depart Milford Haven, probably stopping at the Isles of Scilly before visiting the beautiful coastline of Cornwall, arriving at Plymouth on the Friday.

Leg 6 - Plymouth to Levington 

Departing Plymouth you will follow the southern English coast up the Channel, stopping at various ports along the way. From Ramsgate, you will enter the Thames Estuary and follow the coast up to Levington to complete the final leg of the trip round Britain.

If the weather is not looking great or is forecast to be a bit chilly or windy you can hire wet weather gear from us.

You are expected to bring the following comfort pack items with you; however if you don't want to bring your best duck down pillow or you haven't got a sleeping bag, don't worry you can hire a comfort pack from us!

A Comfort Pack comprises of a freshly laundered sleeping bag with liner, pillow, pillow case and towel - £16.00
